Amplify: Coca-Cola empowers a new generation of female leaders through its 5x20 program. It’s an ambitious effort to bring five million women entrepreneurs living in the developing world into its business by 2020, as local bottlers and distributors of Coca-Cola products.
Activate: At TEDWomen, Coca-Cola invited a delegation from the 5x20 program to Washington D.C. to experience the conference. On TED.com, a short film on the stories of women entrepreneurs across the world was premiered to a wider TED audience.
Engage: Coca-Cola’s three-minute film told the story of the women in their 5x20 program, creating awareness and conversation. Coca-Cola’s senior vice-president of integrated marketing and communications has this to say about the 5x20 program: “It’s an ambitious undertaking that we knew we couldn’t do by ourselves. But, if we get the right partners we can do this and more.”
